From our roots in historic Ybor City to our caf locations across the Tampa Bay area, we are committed to quality, community, and the people who make it all possible. ROLE OVERVIEW Here at La Segunda we pride ourselves in our craft and ability to make authentic Cuban bread. As a Bread Baker you will learn techniques we have been using for over 100 years, keeping us connected to the history of Ybor City. This is a fast-paced, labor-intensive production line position - not a pastry or customer service role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for ripping one box of palmetto leaves before the shift starts
Chop, wash, and split palmetto leaves
Set up, operate, and clean scaler, rounder, and molder
Organize boleo and weigh/scale dough
Place palmetto leaves on each loaf and roll bread when necessary
Measure loaves and count boards
Work as a team to clean machinery and workspace after each shift
Fill out the blue operations book daily based on shift details
Maintain La Segunda's high standards for product quality
Abide by health department requirements and maintain a clean work area
Complete assigned cleanup tasks at shift conclusion WHAT YOU BRING
High school diploma or equivalent
Positive, enthusiastic, team-oriented attitude
Available at least one weekend day per week
Ability to understand and follow instructions
Food preparation experience preferred
