Fund Governance Analyst

About the Role Wellington Management is hiring a Fund Governance Analyst to support the growth of its US Wealth channel. The analyst will partner closely with legal, compliance, product, risk, operations, and tax teams to strengthen governance, regulatory alignment, and oversight of the firm’s 1940 Act funds. Key Responsibilities Maintain policies and procedures for the 1940 Act fund platform, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and regulatory alignment through periodic reviews and updates. Document and execute approval and escalation frameworks for key fund decisions, including launches, material changes, and risk or compliance matters, and preserve robust records of approvals and rationales. Support legal, regulatory, and company administration activities: coordinate SEC filings, maintain corporate records in entity systems, and administer board and shareholder resolutions. Provide board, committee, and secretarial support: prepare agendas, take minutes, track actions, and ensure decisions are clearly documented and retained. Facilitate cross‑functional coordination among stakeholders to deliver fund initiatives in line with governance standards and fiduciary responsibilities. Qualifications Strong academic record and fast learner. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills. Strategic mindset with the ability to execute from start to finish. Independent work ethic and effective teamwork. High attention to detail and analytical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; coding skills are a plus. 1–3 years of experience in asset management, preferably in the US fund industry, with exposure to 1940 Act initiatives. Knowledge of capital markets and corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory matters. Location Boston, MA or Needham, MA (based on your preference). Compensation Base salary range: USD 80,000 – 150,000. Compensation may also include discretionary bonuses or incentives.
