Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed and thorough routine and preventive healthcare services, including comprehensive physical exams, immunizations, and various health screenings to assess patients’ health status.
• Utilize clinical judgment to diagnose and treat both acute and chronic medical conditions, ensuring appropriate management and follow-up for a variety of illnesses.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with best practices and patient needs, actively engaging patients in their healthcare journey.
• Work closely with specialists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate, secure, and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
• Educate patients and their families on healthy lifestyle choices, preventive care strategies, and effective disease management, fostering a supportive environment for health improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Family Medicine Physician Assistant, you will provide care to a diverse patient population, including families and individuals of all ages. Your focus will span preventive care to ongoing management of chronic illnesses, ensuring a supportive and holistic approach to health in our community.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program, equipping you with the foundational knowledge and clinical skills necessary for this role.
• National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification is required to ensure adherence to national standards and competencies.
• A valid and unrestricted Florida PA license, or eligibility to obtain one, is essential for practice within the state.
• Possession of a DEA license with prescriptive authority or eligibility to obtain such a license, enables comprehensive patient care.
• Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills are fundamental, allowing you to effectively interact with patients and other health professionals.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Family Medicine or primary care settings, preferred to enhance patient care delivery and engagement.
