Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Superintendent to lead our maintenance operations team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. This role is essential to maintaining the efficiency, reliability, and safety of our production infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Maintenance Operations Management Oversee daily maintenance activities, ensuring timely and effective repairs of machinery and equipment. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. Manage emergency repairs and troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues. Lead, train, and mentor maintenance technicians and staff. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to safety and operational standards. Conduct performance evaluations and recommend training programs for skill development. Equipment & Facility Management Ensure proper maintenance of all facility equipment, including HVAC, electrical systems, and productions machinery. Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Safety & Compliance Ensure maintenance operations comply with OSHA, EPA, and other safety and environmental regulations. Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and training sessions to promote a culture of workplace safety. Investigate maintenance-related incidents and implement corrective actions. Continuous Improvement & Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with production, engineering, and operations teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency. Identify opportunities for process improvements, automations, and modernization. Stay up to date with industry trends and new maintenance technologies. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Experience Minimum 5-10 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or management role. Experience in manufacturing, production, heavy industry, or related fields preferred. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for tracking work orders and maintenance schedules. Familiarity with PLC systems, automation, and robotics is a plus. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Certifications (Preferred) Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent. OSHA or other safety-related certifications. Craft certifications in Millwright, Boilermaker, Instrumentation, etc. Other Requirements Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of safety regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance software.
