Kubernetes Developer
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
We are looking for a Kubernetes Developer responsible for designing, deploying, and managing scalable containerized applications using Kubernetes. The role involves close collaboration with DevOps, cloud, and development teams to build reliable, secure, and high-performance systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage applications on Kubernetes clusters
- Build and maintain Docker containers
- Write and manage Kubernetes manifests (Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Ingress)
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications
- Monitor cluster health, performance, and availability
- Troubleshoot and resolve Kubernetes and container-related issues
- Implement scaling, rolling updates, and self-healing mechanisms
- Work with Helm charts for application packaging and deployment
- Ensure security best practices (RBAC, network policies, secrets management)
- Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and cloud teams (AWS/GCP/Azure)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience with Kubernetes (K8s)
- Hands-on experience with Docker / containerization
- Proficiency in YAML and Kubernetes resource definitions
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Argo CD)
- Knowledge of Linux system administration
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS EKS, Azure AKS, or GCP GKE)
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Kubernetes certifications ( CKA / CKAD / CKS )
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
- Service mesh knowledge ( Istio, Linkerd )
- Scripting in Python, Go, or Bash
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
