MongoDB DBALocation: TelecommuteDuration: 6+ months Contract to HireDescription:Work with application teams to implement best practices with MongoDB.Understand MongoDB sharding and how to choose appropriate shard keysKnowledge of managing a MongoDB cluster using Mongo’s OpsManager toolOptimization and tuning of MongoDB cluster settingsMigrating to public cloudGuiding app teams on proper indexing and query tuningReview work intake with the development team and ensure the cluster is sized correctly based on the data size/volume requirementsOperational activities including backup and recovery, database health checks, evaluate/plan/perform upgrades, support application releasesRequired Skills:· Strong communication and organizational skills· Self-starter· 3+ years of MongoDB experience (administering, designing, implementing, troubleshooting)· DBA experience in MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle, or Postgres· Strong experience with MongoDB and communication skills.
