Interim Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialist

The Interim Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialist will be responsible for the 24-hour oversight of day-to-day operations throughout the NICU. The Interim Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialist will collaborate closely with the Nurse Educator while focusing on ongoing departmental initiatives including skills assessments, clinical policy developments, discharge planning, and education. This leader will demonstrate a patient-centered mindset, compassion, excellent communication skills, and will focus highly on the individual needs of both patient and staff experience. Ideal candidates will be collaborative leaders who will develop, maintain, and foster positive working relationships and will lead onboarding and training initiatives throughout the department. Must be available to start within 2–3 weeks of acceptance.

Master's degree is required. Active CA RN license is required. Valid Clinical Nurse Specialist certification issued by the state of California is required.

Compensation Range: $155,000 to $165,000 annually. The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits. The listed base compensation range represents a good faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of this job posting and may be subject to future adjustments.
