Director, Revenue Cycle Management

Director, Revenue Cycle Management Responsible for overseeing all billing, collections, and accounts receivable (AR) operations specific to medical oncology services, ensuring timely and accurate claim submission, payment posting, and compliance with payer and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Lead end-to-end revenue cycle operations for medical oncology, including charge capture, coding, billing, and collections. Ensure timely and accurate payment posting (ERA/EOB) including contractual adjustments, denial posting, and reconciliation. Submit all medical oncology claims accurately and within payer timelines to prevent denials and delays. Support change management to build a best‑in‑class RCM culture. Develop and implement strategies to safeguard reimbursement, including proactive AR management and payer follow‑up. Collaborate with operations, clinical, and financial teams to align on reimbursement protocols and compliance. Monitor KPIs such as days in AR, clean claim rate, denial trends, and reimbursement turnaround. Drive continuous process improvement and technology optimization to enhance revenue integrity and operational efficiency. Lead and mentor a team of RCM professionals, fostering accountability, collaboration, and excellence. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or related field (preferred). Minimum 7 years of progressive revenue cycle management experience, with at least 5 years in medical oncology (preferred). Experience in physician office revenue cycle billing across various systems. Proficiency with payment posting (ERA/EOB), including reconciliation, contractual adjustments, and denial posting. Track record of managing AR and improving financial performance in a healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of payer regulations, compliance standards, and reimbursement methodologies. Experience with oncology‑specific EMRs, billing and RCM systems (e.g., ARIA, Centricity, OncoEMR, Availity). Excellent analytical, communication, leadership skills. Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders across clinical, financial, and operational domains. Comfort leading change in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
