Front End Maintenance Mechanic 3rd Shift

Can-One USA is seeking a Front End Maintenance Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of equipment used in the early stages of our aluminum can manufacturing process.

This position focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, rebuilding, and repairing front-end production equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills, experience working with industrial machinery, and the ability to perform precision mechanical work in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities include inspecting, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing front-end production equipment, maintaining equipment such as cuppers, body makers, trimmers, coil handling systems, and related machinery, performing equipment tear-downs, rebuilds, adjustments, and precision reassembly, diagnosing mechanical problems and determining appropriate repair solutions, performing preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime, using precision measuring tools, reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and equipment documentation, operating machine shop equipment such as lathes, presses, and grinders when required, assisting with machine adjustments, equipment improvements, and maintenance projects, maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation, keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe, and following all company safety procedures and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills, ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, experience using precision measuring equipment, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team, and ability to follow established safety procedures.

Preferred qualifications include technical certification, vocational training, or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, or a related field, experience with high-speed manufacturing equipment, experience performing equipment rebuilds and precision mechanical repairs, machine shop experience, and experience with aluminum can manufacturing or similar production equipment.

Schedule includes full-time, 3rd shift, 12-hour shift schedule, and overtime may be available based on production needs.

Physical & work environment includes standing and walking for extended periods, bending, reaching, climbing, lifting, pushing, pulling, and working around operating industrial equipment. Employees must follow all applicable safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment in designated areas.
