Astra ABA, a leading provider of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician (BT) to join our team of skilled professionals. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting children on their journey to realizing their full potential.
About the Role
As a Behavior Technician (BT) , you will provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children in their home setting, implementing treatment and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will utilize ABA techniques such as positive reinforcement, shaping, and natural environment teaching (NET) to support skill development in communication, social, play, adaptive, and academic domains.
Responsibilities
• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children in a home setting
• Implement treatment and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under BCBA supervision
• Utilize ABA techniques such as positive reinforcement, shaping, and natural environment teaching (NET)
• Support skill development in communication, social, play, adaptive, and academic domains
• Collect accurate data on client progress during every session and submit same-day SOAP notes
• Collaborate and maintain clear communication with BCBAs, families, and team members
• Protect client dignity, privacy, and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
• Adhere to BACB Ethics Code for RBTs and company policies
• Participate in ongoing training and supervision as required
Requirements
• High school diploma required
• Minimum of 6 months experience utilizing ABA therapy, working with individuals with autism in a supervised setting (preferred)
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Must have verifiable work references and pass a background check
• Motivated team player with patience and professionalism
