Job Title: Painter

Pay: $25-$30/hour base, prevailing rate work available.

Shift: 7:00AM-3:30PM, Monday through Friday

Shop Location: Schenectady, NY

Join a reputable general contractor serving the Capital Region, specializing in commercial and residential projects. This role offers steady work, skill development, and the opportunity to deliver high-quality finishes in a safety-focused environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare surfaces (clean, sand, patch, prime) for painting.
• Apply paint, stain, and coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Complete interior and exterior painting, including drywall patching and finishing.
• Follow blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate, high-quality results.
• Inspect finished work for consistency and durability.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a safe, organized job site.

What We’re Looking For:

• 1+ year of commercial or residential painting experience.
• Proficiency with brush, roller, and spray applications.
• Strong knowledge of prep work and surface finishing.
• Ability to read instructions or blueprints.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Schenectady, NY.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
