CNC Operator Responsibilities: - Maintain safe working conditions and participate in 5S activities - Compliance with all company regulations, procedures and policies - Have ownership of the quality of your product - Scrap reduction and process control focus - Reporting of production problems, obstacles to following production procedures, and unusual workplace events - Communicate maintenance and machine needs to leads and supervisor - Teamwork and participation within department - Communicate and participate in timely preventive maintenance - Change tooling and perform minor offset adjustments - Operate CNC turning, vertical machining centers Requirements for CNC Operator: - High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. - Technical training in machining, CNC operation, manufacturing technology, or a related field preferred. - Minimum of 1-3 years of direct machine shop experience required. - Experience operating CNC turning centers, CNC lathes, and/or CNC vertical machining centers in a manufacturing environment. - Experience loading and unloading CNC machinery while maintaining production and quality standards. - Experience changing tooling, making minor machine adjustments, and performing offset corrections required. - Experience machining metal components to specified tolerances and finish requirements. - Experience inspecting parts and performing quality checks using measuring devices and inspection tools preferred. - Experience working with production schedules, process control, and scrap reduction initiatives preferred.
