Outside Sales Representative – Spare Parts & Industrial Equipment

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Regular site visits to customer sites in the designated sales region.
• Check status of existing quotes / projects for all group companies.
• Check parts inventory based on “essential parts list” and build accordingly.
• Promote and increase new parts demand.
• Check planned modifications.
• Promote and secure academic technical training for plant personnel.
• Check on supervisory services needed.
• Promote technical service contracts.
• Promote Inspection visits.
• Understand and obtain shut-down schedule for all customers.
• Will require up to 80% local travel.

Qualifications

• Technical sales background, ideally Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering or other recognized field.
• Preferred Experience in an equivalent position with a custom-engineered machinery supplier.
• Preferred to have experience in the wood products industry.
• Organizational Skills necessary to work multiple sales efforts.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English language.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Good computer skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and Outlook.
