This position involves assisting skilled maintenance personnel with a variety of tasks including general repairs, equipment inspections, and preventive maintenance activities. The Maintenance Helper will contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment by following established protocols and safety standards. Through hands‑on support, this role helps minimize downtime and extends the lifespan of machinery and building systems. Ultimately, the Maintenance Helper ensures that all maintenance activities are completed accurately and timely to support overall operational excellence. Responsibilities: Assist maintenance technicians with routine inspections and repairs of machinery and building systems. Operate and maintain hand tools, welding equipment, and other machinery under supervision. Climb ladders and use scissor lifts safely to access elevated work areas for maintenance tasks. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to support repair and installation work. Perform precision measuring and assist in the alignment and fitting of parts and components. Support general maintenance duties including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts. Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the maintenance supervisor promptly. Help maintain conveyors, dust collection systems, and production equipment. Gather tools, parts, and materials for maintenance jobs/ maintenance technicians. Perform building and ground maintenance repairs Skills: The required skills such as professionalism and the ability to climb ladders and operate scissor lifts are essential for safely accessing various work sites and maintaining a respectful and efficient work environment. Precision measuring and the ability to read blueprints enable the Maintenance Helper to assist accurately in repair and installation tasks, ensuring components fit and function correctly. Proficiency with hand tools, machines, and welding equipment allows the candidate to support a wide range of maintenance activities, from simple repairs to more technical tasks. General maintenance skills are applied daily to keep equipment and facilities in optimal condition, reducing downtime and preventing costly breakdowns.
