Location: Charlotte, NC Employment Type: Part‑Time/Full‑Time Department: Substance Abuse Position Summary The Substance Abuse Counselor will provide counseling, education, and support services to clients seeking recovery. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, leading group and individual sessions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote holistic well‑being and relapse prevention. Key Responsibilities Conduct client assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Facilitate individual, group, and family counseling sessions. Educate clients and families on substance abuse, recovery, and community resources. Provide crisis intervention and referrals as needed. Maintain accurate and confidential case documentation in compliance with HIPAA and federal guidelines. Collaborate with a team of healthcare and support professionals. Support clients in relapse prevention and aftercare planning. Qualifications Required: QP eligible under NC standards. State licensure or certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CADC, LADC, LCAS or equivalent). At least 2 years of experience in substance abuse counseling or related behavioral health services. Strong communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills. Preferred
