Job Overview Department: Nursing – Full time. Location: LCH 8P Progressive Care Unit, 8th floor step-down unit. Schedule: 3 12-hour shifts per week (7 p – 7 a), 36 hours per week, with weekend and holiday requirements. Pay: $38.20 – $57.30 per hour. Unit Description The 8P Progressive Care Unit is a 24-bed pediatric progressive care unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 3:1. It cares for cardiac, nephrology, kidney, heart and liver transplant, and other progressive children. Responsibilities Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process. Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with standards, policies, and procedures. Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication. Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience. Qualifications Completed accredited or approved nursing program. At least 6 months RN experience (not for new graduates). Registered Nurse license in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
