Description: We are a 23-bed specialized cardiac stepdown unit. Our unit manages patients recovering from structural cardiac procedures such as TAVR (Transcutaneous Aortic Valve Replacements), LAAO (Watchman device), TCAR (Transcutaneous Carotid Artery Repair), and others. We also care for patients that have primary cardiac diagnoses such as chest pain, abnormal cardiac rhythms, and congestive heart failure demanding continuous telemetry, medication management, and skilled nursing interventions for high-risk patients. Patients on 7 North require closer monitoring and care than a general medical unit, so our patient to nurse ratio goal is lower. Staff on this unit are both BCLS and ACLS-certified, trained in Phase 1 recovery, as well as skilled in ECG interpretation enabling our team to provide the best care possible. We operate on a pattern rotation schedule that only requires you to work every fourth weekend. We are seeking detailed individuals who are team players, able to adapt to situations requiring swift actions resulting in the best care for our patients.
