Location: Champlain Valley School District

The Champlain Valley School District (CVSD) is seeking energetic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Substitute Food Service Workers. This position is at the heart of our schools, providing students with the healthy meals and friendly service they need to succeed throughout the day. This is a flexible, as-needed position, offering you the opportunity to choose assignments that fit your personal schedule while supporting our schools.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and assembly of breakfast and lunch items following standardized recipes.
• Serve students and staff during meal periods with a friendly and helpful attitude.
• Maintain a clean work environment by washing dishes, sanitizing food prep surfaces, and cleaning kitchen equipment.
• Follow all food safety and health department regulations to ensure the highest level of food quality.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess

• A passion for working with students and a commitment to providing excellent service.
• Ability to work cooperatively and efficiently within a kitchen team environment.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and interact respectfully with the school community.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift or carry kitchen supplies up to 25 lbs.
• Prior experience in food service or hospitality is valued, but not required. We provide all necessary training.
