CT Technologist

Flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, with first and second shift coverage as needed.

Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week

Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year experience performing CT scan procedures preferred or equivalent as determined by the Department Manager. MA DPH Radiology License required. ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) preferred; must obtain ARRT (CT) within two years of hire.

Operate computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes. Interpret physician's scanning instructions and ensure appropriate image quality by adhering to established protocols. Administer contrast materials and assess patients to optimize exposure techniques. Maintain a clean and safe environment, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Document patient information, manage scheduling, and accurately process imaging orders and charges. Respond to emergency situations and ensure patient safety throughout imaging procedures.

Follow all hospital and department-specific mandatory requirements. Engage in practices that ensure patient privacy and confidentiality. Adhere to infection control protocols, including hand hygiene. Ensure all safety and operational policies are followed to reduce risks related to patient care.
