Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring 1 year of recent acute care PCU experience and a compact or CO RN license.

Job Details

• Progressive Care Unit within a hospital setting on a 24-bed floor,
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM,
• 13-week assignment length,
• Patient-to-nurse ratio of 5:1,
• Care for post-op recovery patients from surgical and cath lab procedures, including elective ortho, spine, and GYN surgeries,
• Manage cardiac patients including post-PCI, post-pacemaker, ablation, cardioversion, and revascularization cases,
• Treat stroke, CIWA, chest pain, renal failure, and respiratory failure patients,
• Utilize telemetry and post-op monitoring equipment,
• Cardiac drips administered at set rate (non-titrating, except heparin),
• Documentation completed in Meditech / CPN EMR,
• Modified self-scheduling process with schedules posted 3 weeks in advance,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or CO state license required),
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification required,
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience required,
• Cardiac experience preferred,
• Prior Meditech EMR experience preferred,
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,
