Payroll SpecialistThe Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This role partners closely with Human Resources, Finance, and managers to provide exceptional service to employees and safeguard the integrity of payroll data.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess bi-weekly payrolls, ensuring employee wages, deductions, taxes, and adjustments are accurate and completed within established deadlinesReview and maintain employee payroll information, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, deductions, garnishments, direct deposits, and tax electionsMaintain compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, payroll tax regulations, and company policiesServe as the primary point of contact for payroll-related questions, resolving issues professionally and maintaining a high level of customer servicePerform payroll reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and work with HR and Finance to resolve issues before payroll is finalizedPrepare payroll reports for Finance, HR, and leadership while assisting with internal and external audits and year-end activities, including W-2 preparationEnsure payroll and HRIS systems are updated with accurate employee data and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracyMaintain strict confidentiality of employee compensation and personal information while adhering to company security and privacy standardsQualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred3+ years of payroll processing experienceExperience with HRIS and payroll systems (Rippling experience preferred)Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, wage and hour laws, and payroll complianceHigh attention to detail with exceptional analytical and organizational skillsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting toolsExcellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting payroll deadlinesAbout DLRdmvDLRdmv™ creates and deploys innovating Title & Registration technology and Governmental Compliance solutions to the Automotive Industry.
