Description
American Traveler seeks a Surgical First Assist for a 13-week contract in a busy hospital surgery department requiring OR circulator experience and the ability to scrub open heart procedures.
Details
- 5 OR hospital surgery unit with day shift hours of 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- 1:1 patient ratios
- Basic OR equipment including cautery, video monitors, arthroscopy equipment, and positioning equipment
- Meditech EMR used on the unit
- No floating required
- Rotating call required, including a minimum of one night per week and one weekend per 5-week schedule
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in OR circulating
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Must be able to scrub open heart procedures
- CST/ORT certification required, with state license required if applicable
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Experience in orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, robotics, urology, vascular, cardiovascular, neuro, or thoracic procedures preferred
- Candidates should be flexible, caring, compassionate, and demonstrate a willing attitude
- Scrubs and attire are provided at the facility
- Does not accept local candidates and enforces a 50-mile radius rule
