KAM Mainstream Retail

Main Purpose of the Job:   The Key Account Manager (KAM) – Multicultural-National Accounts will be responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy for key national and regional grocery retailers and strategic distributors within the U.S. mainstream market. The role will focus on accelerating profitable growth through new account development, distribution expansion, portfolio penetration, and effective management of existing strategic accounts. The KAM will own Joint Business Planning, commercial negotiations, customer profitability, and execution of account-specific growth plans. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working with major retailers such as Walmart, Kroger, Albertsons, H-E-B, Publix, and similar accounts, as well as strategic distributors such as KeHE and UNFI.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commercial strategies to grow our Hispanic brands and product portfolio across national and regional retail accounts.


• Build and strengthen strategic relationships with key retailers, buyers, category managers, and distribution partners.


• Identify new business opportunities to expand distribution, assortment, visibility, and category growth within the mainstream grocery channel.


• Lead customer negotiations, promotional planning, and joint business initiatives while driving sustainable and profitable growth.


• Leverage consumer insights, market trends, and sales data to develop compelling business proposals and identify growth opportunities.


• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, and strategic distributors to ensure strong execution, forecasting, product availability, and brand performance.

Travel: Up to 30% for customer meetings, key markets, industry events, and trade shows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.


• 5+ years of Key/National Account Management experience within the CPG/FMCG industry.


• Proven experience managing national or regional grocery retail accounts.


• Experience working with major retailers and distributors such as Walmart, Kroger, Albertsons, H-E-B, KeHE, or UNFI.


• Strong negotiation, analytical, and relationship-building skills.


• Advanced English and Spanish proficiency.


• Ability to travel up to 30%.
