Pediatric Emergency Medicine Faculty Position

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics, is seeking an outstanding individual for a Pediatric Emergency Medicine faculty position in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at UT Southwestern and Children's Health Dallas. The Pediatric Emergency Medicine Division offers a variety of clinical, academic and administrative opportunities for candidates at all stages of their careers. The Medical Center offers all of the resources needed to build well-balanced careers in teaching, research, and clinical service in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Current areas of academic focus include pre-hospital care, transport, information technology, ultrasound, trauma, pain management, and toxicology. Applicants must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas and be board eligible or certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information. To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishment and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule.
