You are responsible for keeping the line moving safely and you take a lot of pride in that.Here's what you can expect on a typical day as a Maintenance Electrician on our team at Mauser Packaging Solutions:Safety: Safety is our number one priority. You'll learn our plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training including lockout/tagout, housekeeping, and 5S standards.Quality: We take pride in our output, and you take pride in ensuring our equipment is running smoothly and safely.High-Speed, Loud Environment: We convert coil to sheets then coat and print them. It's fast and can be loud. Some areas of the plant get very warm in the summer.Hard work: Each day you'll be bending, lifting, stooping, and like to repair equipment. You will replace sensors, contacts, or other defective parts. You'll work with PLC equipment, multiple small tools, and high-voltage equipment. We know you work hard, and we want to take care of you and your family.Responsibilities:Follow, without exception, all work instructions and safety policies, including use of all PPE and safety equipment.Examine machine controls, complete mold changeovers and start up machines for production needs when required.Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on all production equipment and machinery.Repair components and replace parts on machines such as bearings, cylinders, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches.Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to locate root of problem.Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.Lubricate and clean machinery and support equipment to maintain housekeeping and preventive maintenance standards within the plant.Document and track changeover times, parts used, and other findings.Accomplish all work orders to maintain safety; reduce downtime; decrease scrap; improve quality production; and improve plant efficiency.Follows all safety rules and procedures including Lockout/Tagout program, housekeeping, and 5S standards and observes the operations to ensure a safe work environment.Perform other related duties as assigned.Requirements:Read and understand pneumatic, hydraulic, electric and electronic documentation and drawings and interpret equipment dataMaintenance and repair of industrial machinery equipment.Ability to interpret documents such as procedure manuals, blueprints, schematics, charts, diagrams, etc.Ability to use precision measuring devices including amp meters, electric meters, and hydraulic gauges.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Good troubleshooting skills.Ability to utilize company maintenance software to document and complete work orders, preventative maintenance procedures, and other necessary tasks.Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrate personal responsibility, and perform all assigned duties.High school diploma and general education degree (GED); plus 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of train and experience.Good verbal and written communication skillsGood mathematical and organizational skillsGood interpersonal skillsMust be able to work multiple shiftsCertificate, Licenses, Registration:Preferred, but not requiredSupervisory Responsibilities:This job has no supervisory responsibilitiesAbout UsDo you want to work with people who are dedicated to innovation and making the world a better place?
