Overview

Insight Global is seeking a Civil Superintendent to support a large-scale industrial construction project in Pecos, TX. This is a high-impact, on-site leadership role responsible for overseeing all civil scopes and driving day-to-day field execution.

This position is ideal for a hands-on construction leader with deep expertise in dirt work, excavation, underground utilities, and concrete operations—specifically within heavy industrial or power generation environments.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead all civil construction activities onsite, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and schedule

• Oversee and coordinate subcontractors and field crews across multiple work scopes

• Manage and execute dirt work, grading, excavation, and underground utility installation

• Supervise concrete pours, foundations, and grout work across the project lifecycle

• Partner cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, and project management teams to ensure seamless coordination

• Review drawings, specifications, and schedules; proactively resolve field issues

• Track progress, manage daily reporting, and communicate updates to project leadership

• Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with all site and regulatory requirements

Skills and Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of experience as a Civil Superintendent on large-scale construction projects

• Hands-on expertise in:

○ Dirt work / earthwork / grading

○ Excavation and underground utilities

○ Concrete and grout operations

• Proven experience managing subcontractors and field crews

• Strong ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines on complex job sites

• Experience working on industrial or energy projects Plusses

• Background in power plant construction (LNG, gas turbine, combined cycle, simple cycle, etc.)

• Experience working with top EPCs or large GCs such as Kiewit, Bechtel, Fluor, or similar

• Familiarity with large-scale EPC project workflows and execution

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
