Paramedic - Ambulance

Overview Join a dynamic emergency medical team where you’ll play a critical role in delivering high-quality, life-saving care across a variety of settings. This position focuses on 911 response, inter-facility transport, public assistance, and support within the Emergency Department. You’ll assess and treat a wide range of medical and trauma emergencies, operate in fast-paced and high-pressure environments, and utilize advanced equipment and procedures to stabilize patients. As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll collaborate with other emergency services, provide compassionate patient care, and contribute to seamless hospital operations. Responsibilities also include maintaining equipment readiness, completing detailed patient reports, mentoring team members, and staying current with evolving, evidence-based practices. This role offers a unique opportunity to expand your clinical skills both in the field and within the hospital, while making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes and community well-being. Responsibilities Respond to 911 calls and provide prehospital medical care and trauma management. Perform inter-facility transport and support within the Emergency Department. Assess, treat, and stabilize patients using advanced equipment and procedures. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and emergency services to ensure coordinated care. Maintain equipment readiness and execute detailed patient reports. Mentor team members and contribute to ongoing training. Stay current with evolving, evidence-based practices. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: 2 years of practical experience in Emergency Medical Services preferred. EDUCATION: High school graduate, HiSET, or GED equivalent required. Successful completion of a Paramedic course or equivalent is required. Associate of Applied Science or equivalent is preferred. Must participate in annual refresher training and continuing education to maintain licensure. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: State of Montana Paramedic or Registered Nurse with recent Certificate of Equivalency or Physician Assistant licensure required. National (NREMT) certification preferred. BLS, ACLS, and PALS required. NRP and EVOC required at earliest available offering / within one year. PHTLS preferred. Critical Care Transport endorsement within 18 months. Current Montana State driver’s license and excellent driving record required. APTITUDES: Demonstrated compassion, strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient, customer, and staff relations; physical strength to carry more than 75 lbs; problem-solving, reading comprehension, writing, arithmetic; cognitive, organizational, and emotional maturity to manage multiple tasks and stressful situations; adaptability to feedback and changes in scheduling or assignments. #J-18808-Ljbffr
