Emergency Department Registered NurseLocation: Woodbridge, VAWork Shift: Multiple shifts availableOverview:Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, Virginia is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a 14 week temp position with no benefits provided. The position requires 12 hour shifts, 7AM to 7PM, every other weekend. This is a primary position with flexibility in scheduling required. The pay rate is $80/hr.Education:Associate's Degree – NursingBachelor's Degree – NursingDiploma in NursingCertification/Licensure:Required: Registered Nurse eligible to practice in VA, ACLS, BLS NIHSSExperience:At least 2 years of recent bedside acute care in the Emergency Dept as an RN required. EPIC user strongly preferred.Duties/Responsibilities:The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.
