Licensed Child & Family Therapist (LPCMH, LCSW, LMFT)

$60k

Resilient Kids Child & Family Therapy-

Job Description

Job Description:\n\nLicensed Child & Family Therapist\nLPCMH, LCSW, or LMFT | Full-Time W-2 | Middletown, Delaware\nDo meaningful work. Feel supported. Keep growing.\nYou became a therapist to make a difference in people's lives. You deserve a workplace that cares about you, supports your professional growth, and gives you the opportunity to do your best clinical work.\nAt Resilient Kids Child & Family Therapy, we believe exceptional care for children and families starts with supporting the therapists who serve them.\nWe're a collaborative, family systems-oriented practice helping children, adolescents, young adults, and families navigate life's challenges, strengthen relationships, and build healthier futures. We're committed to quality care, innovative approaches, and creating an environment where therapists feel valued, supported, and encouraged to grow.\nHere, you're more than a caseload. You're a clinician with individual strengths, professional interests, and ideas that can help shape the future of our practice.\nWhether you're a newly licensed therapist ready to build your confidence or an experienced clinician looking for a place to grow into your next professional chapter, we'd love to meet you.\nA special opportunity for new hires: Choose a $2,000 sign-on bonus OR specialty training!\nWe believe investing in our therapists helps us provide better care to the families who count on us.\nNew hires can choose a $2,000 sign-on bonus OR specialized training to support their professional development.\nInterested in EMDR, play therapy, nature-based therapy, or animal-assisted approaches? We'd love to explore those interests with you.\nHave another specialty or training opportunity you're excited about? Bring us your idea! We're open to considering training that aligns with your professional goals and helps us expand the ways we support children and families.\nYour professional growth shouldn't be one-size-fits-all. We want to understand the kind of clinician you want to become and explore how we can help you get there.\nSpecialty training options are subject to discussion, approval, and applicable program terms.\nWhy Resilient Kids?\nWe care about our therapists—and the families they serve.\nWe believe the quality of care we provide is closely connected to how we support the people providing it.\nTherapy is meaningful work, but it can also be demanding. We want to build a practice where clinicians feel respected, have access to support, can continue developing their skills, and have room to grow professionally.\nWe value the person behind the professional title. Your clinical judgment, interests, ideas, and contributions matter.\nOur goal is to create a workplace where you can build a sustainable career while doing work that makes a real difference.\nYou can focus on being a therapist.\nYou trained to help people, not to spend your day chasing paperwork, coordinating every administrative detail, or trying to manage everything alone.\nOur administrative team assists with referrals, scheduling, billing, insurance verification, and client follow-up so you can focus more of your energy on clinical care.\nWe also believe transparency matters. We want you to understand the expectations of the position, how compensation works, and what support is available before you make a decision to join us.\nYour clinical interests are welcome here.\nWe value innovation and believe great practices continue learning, adapting, and finding better ways to serve families.\nWhether you're passionate about play therapy, trauma-informed care, family systems, or another specialized approach, we want to hear about your interests.\nWe welcome new ideas for improving services and expanding the ways we support children, adolescents, and families.\nThrough our partnership with Buddy's Place Therapeutic Farm, opportunities may also be available for interested clinicians to develop skills in nature-based and experiential approaches.\nYou don't have to specialize in everything. We're looking for thoughtful, compassionate clinicians who are curious, open to learning, and committed to excellent care.\nYour career can grow beyond individual therapy.\nYour professional future doesn't have to follow a single path.\nAs Resilient Kids grows, there may be opportunities to develop into roles such as clinical supervisor, group therapy leader, or other clinical leadership positions, depending on your qualifications, interests, and practice needs.\nYou may also have opportunities to develop specialty areas, help create new services, or contribute ideas that shape the direction of our practice.\nWe want to understand your long-term goals and explore opportunities for growth as they become available.\nCollaboration matters.\nClinical work can sometimes feel isolating. We believe therapists benefit from having colleagues they can learn from, consult with, and turn to for support.\nWe value teamwork, thoughtful clinical discussion, and a willingness to share ideas. We want clinicians to feel comfortable asking questions, seeking consultation, and contributing their own expertise.\nWe don't expect you to know everything. We value clinicians who are willing to keep learning and who recognize the importance of working together to provide quality care.\nMeaningful work with children and families\nAs a Licensed Child & Family Therapist, you'll provide compassionate, clinically appropriate outpatient care to children, adolescents, young adults, and families.\nOur family systems-oriented approach recognizes that children are shaped by their relationships, developmental experiences, family dynamics, and broader environments. We value care that considers the whole picture rather than focusing on symptoms alone.\nYour responsibilities will include:\n\nProviding individual and family therapy using clinically appropriate, evidence-informed approaches.\nCompleting clinical assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and ongoing evaluations of treatment goals.\nPartnering with parents and caregivers when clinically appropriate.\nSupporting clients with emotional, behavioral, relational, and developmental challenges.\nCoordinating care with schools, pediatricians, and other providers when indicated and authorized.\nParticipating in clinical consultation, team meetings, and professional development.\nMaintaining timely documentation and following applicable ethical, legal, and professional standards.\nDeveloping a caseload that aligns with your clinical strengths, interests, and availability.\n\nWe want our clinicians to build meaningful therapeutic relationships and help families make progress that extends beyond the therapy room.\nBring your strengths. Develop new ones.\nWe welcome clinicians with a range of experiences, therapeutic approaches, and professional interests.\nExperience in any of the following is especially valuable:\n\nPlay therapy and child-centered approaches.\nTrauma-informed care, including TF-CBT or related training.\nEMDR or other relevant trauma-focused approaches.\nFamily systems and attachment-focused therapy.\nWorking with children and teens experiencing anxiety, ADHD, autism, or emotional and behavioral challenges.\nLGBTQ+ affirming and neurodiversity-affirming care.\nBilingual therapy, particularly Spanish.\nNature-based, experiential, or animal-assisted therapeutic approaches.\n\nYou don't need to have every specialty listed above. We value the experience you bring, the interests you want to develop, and your commitment to providing thoughtful, individualized care.\nHave an idea for a specialty you'd love to pursue? Let's talk about it.\nWe want professional development to be a conversation—not a one-size-fits-all expectation.\nSchedule and work-life fit\nWe recognize that working with children and families often means offering appointments outside traditional business hours. We also believe clinicians should understand their scheduling commitments from the beginning.\nYour weekly schedule:\n\n30 hours of client availability per week, with 25 billable hours expected.\nCore availability Monday through Friday from 2:00–5:00 p.m., when children are out of school.\nEither two weekday evenings or one weekend day, based on the agreed schedule.\nAn additional $5 for every session after 5:00 p.m. or on weekends.\nOne telehealth day per week may be available.\nScheduling flexibility outside required client-access hours, based on caseload needs and practice operations.\n\nOur administrative team assists with referrals and scheduling to support caseload development. We recognize that cancellations and scheduling changes are part of outpatient practice, and we want you to have a clear understanding of how availability, completed sessions, and compensation fit together.\nWe'll discuss your expected schedule, caseload, and compensation structure during the hiring process so you can make an informed decision about whether this position fits your life.\nCompensation and benefits\nTypical annual earnings: approximately $60,000 for newly licensed clinicians, with experienced clinicians earning up to $76,000.\nWe believe compensation should be understandable and your work should be valued.\nThis is a full-time W-2 position that includes:\n\nPaid documentation time, according to the applicable compensation policy.\nEvening and weekend differential: An additional $5 for every session after 5:00 p.m. or on weekends.\nHealth insurance: An advertised employer contribution of 50% after 60 days, subject to plan eligibility and terms.\nPaid time off: 80 hours annually.\nDelaware Paid Leave, subject to applicable eligibility and program rules.\nRetirement savings: Access to the Delaware EARNS retirement savings program, subject to applicable eligibility and program rules.\nEmployment protections: Workers' compensation and unemployment coverage.\nClinical consultation and professional development opportunities.\nSpecialty training opportunity: Choose a $2,000 sign-on bonus or eligible specialty training, subject to program terms.\nPotential advancement opportunities, including support for eligible clinical supervision training.\nNo non-compete agreement.\n\nActual earnings depend on experience, schedule, completed sessions, applicable differentials, and the compensation plan.\nWe'll explain compensation, benefits, eligibility requirements, and applicable program terms during the hiring process so you know what to expect.\nWho we're looking for\nWe're looking for a clinician who combines warmth, curiosity, sound clinical judgment, and a genuine interest in helping children and families thrive.\nRequired qualifications\n\nAn active Delaware license as an LPCMH, LCSW, or LMFT in good standing.\nA master's degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related mental health field.\nClinical experience or training relevant to children, adolescents, or families.\nStrong communication, clinical documentation, and organizational skills.\nA commitment to ethical, compassionate, and developmentally appropriate care.\nA willingness to collaborate with colleagues and continue learning.\nThe ability to meet the scheduling requirements of the position.\n\nYou'll likely thrive here if you:\n\nEnjoy working collaboratively with children, parents, and families.\nValue clinical autonomy while appreciating consultation and teamwork.\nWant to deepen your clinical expertise and explore specialty training.\nAre interested in future opportunities in supervision, group leadership, or clinical program development.\nEnjoy thinking creatively about how to improve care for families.\nBelieve clients deserve affirming, respectful, individualized care.\nWant to work in a practice where colleagues support one another.\nAre looking for a professional home where you can grow over time.\n\nWhether you're newly licensed or bring years of experience, we welcome clinicians who share these values.\nA hiring process designed for mutual fit\nChoosing a practice is an important decision. We want you to understand the opportunity and decide whether Resilient Kids is the right fit for you, too.\nStep 1: Apply. Submit your application and resume.\nStep 2: Meet the team. Connect with practice leadership to discuss your experience, clinical interests, and professional goals.\nStep 3: Clinical conversation. Discuss a brief case vignette shared in advance with our Clinical Director. This gives us an opportunity to understand your clinical thinking and lets you experience our approach to consultation.\nStep 4: Explore mutual fit. We'll answer your questions, review the position's expectations, discuss compensation and benefits, and outline next steps.\nOur goal is a thoughtful, transparent process that respects your time and helps both sides make an informed decision.\nLet's build something meaningful together.\nYou deserve a workplace where your contributions matter, your clinical interests are taken seriously, and your professional growth is encouraged.\nAt Resilient Kids Child & Family Therapy, we're committed to providing quality, innovative care to children and families while supporting the therapists who make that care possible.\nIf you're looking for meaningful clinical work, a collaborative team, opportunities to develop your expertise, and room to grow into new roles over time, we'd love to hear from you.\nApply today to join Resilient Kids Child & Family Therapy.\nResilient Kids Child & Family Therapy is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome qualified applicants from diverse backgrounds and are committed to an inclusive workplace.
