Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in providing exceptional care to critically ill patients in our intensive care units. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the ICU, including MICU, CSICU, and NTICU.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and perform necessary interventions.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Titrate IV drips, including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, and analgesics.
Utilize advanced monitoring equipment and interpret telemetry strips.
Participate in patient education and family support initiatives.
Maintain flexibility and adaptability to meet dynamic unit needs.

Qualifications

Valid nursing license (RN) in the state of employment.
Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
Minimum of 1 year of experience in trauma/surgical and neuro critical care highly preferred.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities.
Experience with performing 12-lead EKGs and critical care procedures.

Work Schedule

Self-scheduling is available for optimal work-life balance.
Weekend and holiday shifts are required; a minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule is expected.
Additional floating between all ICU floors and lower acuity units may be necessary as needed.

Orientation

All clinicians must be present in-state for the orientation week, even if some modules are delivered remotely. Specific dates and locations will be provided during the orientation week.

Dress Code

The required scrub color is navy blue.
