Ninth Planet Beverage Solutions is seeking a Blending Operator to prepare beverage recipes for our canning operation. Job Summary The Blending Operator is responsible for preparing and mixing ingredients required to produce products for use in our canning operations, based on formulations and process authority letters. A successful candidate will learn and follow blending and cleaning techniques, have a strong knowledge of weight measurements, math, and an eye for detail, and have strong communication skills. Position Full‑Time Work location: Saratoga Springs Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8‑hour shifts, 10 am to 7 pm (Flexible) Benefits 100% employer‑paid health insurance premium (individual plan), 3% employer 401(k) match, and PTO. Roles and Responsibilities Blend the ingredients to the specs on the formula (e.g., alcohol/pH/brix/specific gravity) Inventory ingredients and verify that they were stored properly & not tampered with, and that there are enough usable ingredients for the requested batch size Maintain, clean, and sanitize the Blend room equipment, area, and tools Follow all batching instructions as supplied by clients, Blend Managers, and procedures Create and maintain documentation and records of batch, ingredients, lot numbers, quantities, and expiration dates Test and record specifications during blending Record and report deviations during the blend process Maintain & manage inventory counts for all ingredients. Assist in taking physical inventories following procedures Maintain the blending systems, and complete documentation of controls maintained Safely operate all equipment as part of a team effort of “Safety First” Ensure all products are manufactured safely by following Good Manufacturing Practices and Safe Quality Food standards Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Experience working in a brewery, winery, distillery, or food and beverage production environment is a plus. Experience with tri‑clamp fittings, hoses, pumps, tanks, etc, is strongly preferred. Skills and Abilities Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly on a daily basis, and stand for the duration of the shift Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Desire to contribute to the improvement of work processes.
