Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a NICU night shift position requiring NRP certification and 2+ years of related experience.

Details

• Level 2 and 3 NICU/Special Care Nursery at a birthing hospital
• Rotating or all-night 12-hour night shift schedule
• 36 hours per week with every third weekend required
• Rotates on-call responsibilities every third week
• Performs tests and procedures to assess and manage patient care in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members
• Works autonomously across a variety of clinical settings including administration of respiratory care protocols

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• RRT certification required
• CPR-AHA and NRP certification required
• Minimum 2 years of related respiratory therapy work experience
• Must be certified to manage artificial airways, mechanical ventilation, administer aerosolized medications, and provide oxygen therapy
• Delivery room experience preferred
• Some pediatric experience may be considered, but NICU experience is required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Previous Beth Israel Lahey Health employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break before returning
• COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed
• Weekly orientation held every Monday, barring holidays
• RTO requests must be finalized prior to consideration
