We believe:that wellness comes first for our team, our partners, and our clients.that each of us is inherently whole and capable of greatness.in a culture of kindness and respect.in assuming positive intent of others.that authenticity should be celebrated.that every individual's contribution is equally important.What You'll Do:Perform massage therapy services utilizing the appropriate therapeutic techniques according to treatment booking (Swedish, deep tissue + additional services such as Thai massage is a plus!)Instruct clients on additional at-home methods, including Sage + Sound retail, to improve wellness, such as exercises, product implementation and relaxation techniques.Provide detailed explanations of benefits of massage therapy aftercare instructions to clients and guidance on how to maintain benefits between sessions, including hydration and activities.Recommend products and additional services to clients as appropriate.Follow all policies and protocols related to client safety, privacy, and satisfaction, while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.Proactively stay updated with the latest research and developments in massage therapy techniquesKeep up to date with any and all required CT massage therapy licensesAbout You: (required)Minimum of 3+ yrs professional experience providing massage therapyClient-building relations, retention, and communications skills are requiredDemonstrated sales of massage-related services and customer service skills.Must have liability insuranceTime management abilities for 60min, 75min and 90min treatment sessionsValid CT massage therapy licensePrior training, certification, and experience in prenatal massage therapy (opt)Excellent massage technique with a gentle touch and thorough knowledge of anatomyStrong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clientsAbility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededCommitment to maintaining highest standards of cleanliness and sanitationReliable with strong work ethicThe physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a massage therapist to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.Regularly required to stand or for prolonged periods of time.Regularly self-maintain optimal health for commitment and attendance.Regularly required to use written and oral communication skills; analyze and solve problems; observe and interpret people and situations; learn and apply new information or skills; perform highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks.Regularly requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy when interacting with those encountered in the course of work, some of whom may be demanding, dissatisfied or upset and open to criticism and points of improvement.Sage + Sound provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
