HVAC Install Lead, Southern Air Mechanical | Alvarado, TX

Competitive Pay • Year-Round Work • Lead Your Own Crew

Run the job. Own the result.
While other shops slow down for the season, Southern Air Mechanical keeps building. We're looking for an experienced Install Lead in Alvarado who's ready to run installs from first box to final walkthrough. If you take pride in clean, correct work and know how to lead a crew the right way, this is your seat.

What We Offer:

• Competitive pay
• Company vehicle, tools, and equipment, so you stop putting miles and wear on your own
• Year-round work. No seasonal layoffs, no slow-season panic.
• Medical, dental, and vision • 401(k) with company match • PTO • sick time • paid holidays
• Training that keeps you sharp, and a real path up, because we promote from within

What You'll Do:

• Lead residential HVAC installs from arrival to final walkthrough: furnaces, AC systems, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and ductwork, all built to code, manufacturer specs, and industry standards
• Lead and train your install assistant on every job
• Deliver a 5-star experience that beats what the Comfort Advisor promised. Communicate before, during, and after the install, and make sure the customer knows how to run their new system.
• Protect the customer's home throughout the job
• Start up and test every system you install, and sign off on the Safety, Quality, and Assurance Report
• Complete the Job Site Hazard Analysis Report (JHAR) before work begins, and follow all safety procedures
• Track work performed and materials used, and report issues and restock needs to the Project Management Team
• Work with your team and project managers to keep installs on schedule

Requirements

You're Our Lead If You Have:

• 3+ years of HVAC installation experience
• EPA certification
• The communication skills to set the tone for your crew and the customer
• A problem-solver's brain: when the job throws a curveball, you figure it out
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Flexibility to work outside normal hours when the job calls for it
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply

The Real Talk:
This is field work in Texas heat and cold, in attics, crawlspaces, and sometimes 15+ feet up. You'll need to climb, kneel, crouch, and reach, lift 50 lbs, and maneuver heavier equipment.
