KYC Operations Profile Maintenance Manager

Lead and develop a team of KYC professionals providing oversight and expert regulatory guidance for specialized TD KYC program domains Oversee timely execution of client due diligence reviews using a risk-based approach aligned with policy and regulatory requirements Hire talent, set goals, develop staff, manage performance and compensation decisions, promote teamwork, and handle disciplinary actions Manage production teams in line with policies, standards, procedures, and job aids Ensure work products are fit for purpose and audit/regulator ready Suggest and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and quality Lead complex, confidential, high-visibility, special, and cross-functional projects with senior management Manage KYC Ops professionals, providing guidance, coaching, development, oversight, and control Develop proactive strategies and programs for regulatory and compliance issues relating to KYC Operations Act as liaison and subject matter expert with Compliance, Legal, Audit, Risk, external groups, and other stakeholders Lead and develop KYC Ops frameworks, methodologies, and procedures in coordination with management and TD’s AML Program Participate in and manage regulatory examinations and internal/external audits Manage team production through metrics and data to meet service-level agreements while maintaining high-quality work Assign workflow to analysts, provide governance and support, and address or elevate issues to senior management Identify and manage risks, protect organizational interests, and resolve escalated high-risk issues Maintain compliance with internal and external requirements, policies, codes of conduct, and risk appetite Integrate new systems and upgrades into operations Manage day-to-day operations and update functional procedures and processes Develop strategic and long-term plans, business plans, and resource optimization initiatives Build a high-performing, diverse, and cohesive team through recruitment, coaching, feedback, recognition, and performance management Monitor and communicate strategy and program effectiveness to senior management Requirements Undergraduate Degree or equivalent professional work experience 3+ years of direct management experience in financial services or similar industries, including fraud, know your customer, anti-money laundering, sanctions screening, or similar roles for new joiners Or 6+ years' direct management experience in an unrelated role involving information fluency, investigation, research, or financial services broadly but not specifically KYC or AML At least 1 year of management experience Experience working in a KYC operations unit Experience working with line of business contacts Deep knowledge and understanding of businesses/technology and organizational practices/disciplines Sound to advanced knowledge of external competition, industry and/or market trends in relation to own function/business Ability to manage KYC operations, client due diligence, AML program activities, regulatory examinations, audits, procedures, metrics, and escalations Ability to operate standard office equipment and perform sedentary work Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions Ability to perform basic arithmetic Occasional domestic travel; no international travel Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in KYC Operations, regulatory compliance, and team leadership, with a focus on developing high-performing teams and managing client due diligence processes.
