Cardio-Thoracic ICU Registered Nurse

Seeking an experienced Cardio-Thoracic ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with complex cardiac patients, mechanical circulatory support, and post-operative care. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver superior patient outcomes.

Nights 3x12 (19:00 - 07:30)

This is an 18-week contract position.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients with post-operative cardiac and thoracic conditions.
• Monitor patient vitals and manage complex medical needs including mechanical support devices.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient records in the EPIC system with accuracy.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardio-Thoracic ICU setting.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience with vents, IV start, PA lines, and travel nursing preferred.
• Proficiency in handling IABP, Impellas, and other cardiac devices.
• EPIC charting experience is necessary.
