Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM-2:30 PM (Overtime opportunities may begin as early as 4:00 AM based on business needs)

Pay: Starting at $23.00 per hour

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global leader in industrial technology and automation to find a detail-oriented and motivated Machinist I . What You'll Do

As a Machinist I, you will play an essential role in producing precision-machined components that meet demanding quality and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC and/or manual machining equipment, including mills and lathes

  • Read and interpret blueprints, bills of materials (BOMs), technical drawings, and work instructions

  • Select proper tooling, fixtures, and materials for machining operations

  • Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments

  • Adjust machine offsets, feeds, speeds, and tooling to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements are met

  • Troubleshoot machining issues and support process improvement initiatives

  • Collaborate with machinists and machine technicians while following established programming standards

  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation

  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace

  • Meet production schedules while consistently delivering quality work

Qualifications

Required

  • Previous manufacturing experience required

  • 0 to 3+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience operating CNC mills, lathes, or similar machining equipment

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, BOMs, and engineering drawings

  • Experience using measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and indicators

  • Strong written communication and documentation skills

  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred

  • Technical degree or certification in Machining or Manufacturing Technology

  • Recent graduates of machining programs are encouraged to apply

  • Experience working in a team-focused production environment

  • Familiarity with continuous improvement practices and manufacturing processes

Pay Details: $23.00 per hour
