Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting students in a contract role near Montague, CA. This opportunity is available immediately and runs through the end of the school year, offering a full-time schedule of 35-37.5 hours per week. You’ll engage with a supportive educational community dedicated to helping students thrive and ensuring every learner is empowered to reach their potential.
This position focuses on resource specialist program (RSP) services; specific caseload details will be discussed during the interview process, allowing you to explore how your skills can make the best possible difference in students’ lives.
What we’re looking for:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential (State of CA or eligible for reciprocity)
- Background in resource specialist program or experience working with diverse student populations
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and encouraging learning environment
Key responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct instructional support in accordance with student needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families for effective inclusion
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate student records
- Engage in regular assessment and adjust plans as needed for optimal student outcomes
