Delivery Office Manager

We have an exciting and rare opportunity to join our Operational Leadership Team as a Delivery Office Manager, working within our largest and most business-critical division, which operates 7 days a week. This is a varied, hands‑on leadership role offering genuine scope to influence performance, shape change and develop your career. The Role Reporting to the Head of Delivery, you will take responsibility for the performance of a delivery office and its people. This includes: * Leading, motivating and developing a large operational delivery team * Ensuring consistently high standards of service across the collection, processing and delivery of letters, parcels and associated postal services * Managing logistics and operational planning, responding flexibly to changing volumes and supply chain pressures * Owning performance management, KPIs and data analysis to drive year‑on‑year efficiency and improvement * Leading and embedding operational change to support productivity, quality and profitable growth * Building strong, positive relationships with colleagues, trade unions, customers and key stakeholders This is a fast paced role where no two days are the same, suited to someone who relishes operational complexity, excels in people leadership, and is constantly looking for ways to make things better. Working pattern: Full‑time, operating on a 5‑day rota between Monday and Sunday, with some flexibility to meet operational needs. What we're looking for You'll be a confident, resilient leader with a strong operational mind-set and a collaborative approach. You will be able to demonstrate: * Proven experience delivering operational excellence in a customer‑facing environment (experience in postal, logistics or distribution is desirable but not essential) * Strong operational planning and organisational skills, with a track record of improving efficiency, productivity and cost control * Confidence in financial planning, forecasting and performance analysis * An appetite for innovation, including the adoption of new technologies or automation to improve customer outcomes * Experience leading and motivating large, unionised operational teams, particularly through periods of change * The ability to use data and insight to design smarter processes, optimise staffing and improve service quality * Excellent communication, leadership and influencing skills with a strong commitment to collaborative working and delivering outcomes as part of a team * Data-driven, with a focus on performance, forecasting and operational planning Why join Isle of Man Post Office?
