Production Supervisor - 2nd shift

Food manufacturing company in the Valdosta, GA area is seeking a high-performing 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations, direct shift personnel, and maintain high standards of safety and efficiency. In this role, you will oversee line execution, drive productivity, and enforce quality and food safety compliance during the second shift. Preferred candidates will bring direct supervisory experience from food manufacturing, beverage, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or related regulated production environments .

• Shift Leadership & Operations: Direct daily 2nd shift production activities, delegate assignments, and ensure the team safely achieves daily output, yield, and efficiency targets.
• Quality & Food Safety: Enforce adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP standards, SQF/BRC frameworks, and company quality specifications.
• Safety & Compliance: Promote a safety-first workplace culture by conducting audits, leading shift safety huddles, and maintaining compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Team Development: Coach, train, and mentor production operators, packaging technicians, and material handlers; manage shift attendance, performance evaluations, and corrective actions.
• Shift Handover & Communication: Conduct thorough end-of-shift handovers with 1st and 3rd shift leads to ensure seamless continuity in production, maintenance needs, and quality tracking.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in root-cause analysis (5S, Lean, Kaizen) to reduce downtime, eliminate waste, and optimize line throughput.

• Experience: 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing (food processing, beverage, or CPG manufacturing strongly preferred).
• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline is a plus.
• Certifications: HACCP, SQF/BRC auditor, or Lean/Six Sigma certifications are preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and production management tracking tools.
• Leadership & Communication: Strong interpersonal, team-building, and conflict-resolution skills with a track record of driving operational execution in a fast-paced environment.
