Job Description:

The RN in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients, facilitating admission assessments, medication reconciliation, and initiating acute care orders. The unit aims to optimize ED decompression and patient throughput.

Responsibilities:

• Care for patients with various diagnoses requiring advanced telemetry monitoring.
• Ensure patient safety and provide quality patient-centered care.
• Maintain strong communication for effective teamwork within a fast-paced environment.
• Float to other nursing units based on skill set as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in MedSurg, Telemetry, and Step-Down (PCU) levels.
• Positive attitude with a focus on teamwork.
• Must hold current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Charge Nurse experience or willingness to consider is appreciated.
