Finance Associate Attorney

A leading international law firm is seeking a Finance Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join its Finance Practice Group in New York. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated domestic and cross-border financing transactions alongside a collaborative team of attorneys and industry professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience representing banks, private credit funds, and institutional lenders in complex secured lending matters. Responsibilities Represent banks, private credit funds, and other institutional lenders in a variety of financing transactions. Structure, draft, negotiate, and manage documentation for secured lending transactions. Handle senior secured, mezzanine, subordinated debt, and acquisition finance matters. Assist with commercial lending, leveraged finance, loan workouts, and restructuring transactions. Manage transaction processes from structuring through closing. Collaborate with corporate, tax, intellectual property, regulatory, and other specialist teams. Conduct legal analysis and provide practical, business-focused solutions to clients. Maintain strong client relationships and support business development initiatives. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials. 3+ years of law firm experience in finance transactions. Experience representing banks, private credit funds, and institutional lenders. Strong background in leveraged lending, commercial lending, and/or private credit finance. Experience with domestic and cross-border financing transactions. Ability to independently manage key components of financing transactions. Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission.
