Title Dental hygienist Job Description Preventative Care: Perform thorough cleanings, including scaling and polishing. Patient Assessment: Take vitals, review medical histories, and conduct initial screenings. Education: Empower patients with personalized oral hygiene techniques and preventive care plans. Imaging & Tech: Capture/interpret X-rays and manage digital records using Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Clinical Support: Assist the dentist via four-handed dentistry and maintain rigorous infection control/aseptic techniques. Administrative Accuracy: Ensure precise documentation, medical coding, and HIPAA compliance. Salary Range part-time $58 - $60 per hour - Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience. Experience: Proven track record in general dentistry (experience in Pediatric Dentistry is a major plus!). Software Savvy: Proficiency with dental EMR systems (Eaglesoft/Dentrix). Communication: A warm, professional demeanor and the ability to explain complex dental concepts clearly. Diligence: A commitment to safety, infection control, and high-quality documentation.
