Maintenance SupervisorThe Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of the maintenance team to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all plant equipment and systems. This role provides hands-on leadership in executing preventive and corrective maintenance, minimizing equipment downtime, and ensuring work is completed in alignment with Plaskolite's operational standards, safety policies, and production goals. The Maintenance Supervisor plays a key role in supporting team development, driving continuous improvement, and contributing to capital project planning and execution.This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality—reflecting Plaskolite's core values of Integrity and Improvement.Oversee and coordinate daily maintenance operations to ensure equipment and facilities are functioning efficiently and safely.Supervise and lead maintenance staff, providing training, guidance, and performance management to maintain high work standards.Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.Supervise and lead the maintenance team across assigned shifts, including scheduling, task assignments, performance management, and shift handovers.Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with OSHA regulations and Plaskolite's safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and PPE use.Manage execution of preventive maintenance programs and corrective work orders to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.Oversee troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, providing technical guidance where needed.Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track maintenance activities, prioritize work orders, and ensure data accuracy.Coordinate maintenance support for production lines, new equipment installations, and planned shutdowns in collaboration with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams.Monitor key maintenance performance indicators (e.g., downtime, PM compliance, response times) and implement corrective actions to improve results.Lead daily maintenance meetings, maintain effective communication across departments, and ensure alignment on priorities and safety updates.Support development and training of Maintenance Technicians and Leads, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.Maintain proper inventory levels of critical spare parts and supplies, working with Procurement and Storeroom personnel to manage reorders and usage.Assist with planning and execution of capital improvement projects, including contractor coordination and project tracking.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.All other duties as assigned.Must have a high school diploma with 3 -5 years of experience in Maintenance Supervision7+ years of work experienceMust have a high school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in a maintenance environment.Preferred: Apprenticed in a technical trade with 10 years' experience in machine tool applications, performing industrial equipment repairs, and working with PM programs.Must have the ability to read, understand, and update print.Must possess a good understanding of computer and network fundamentals.Basic understanding of preventative maintenance, and condition monitoring techniques.Possess a good understanding for mechanical design & operation, including hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes, lubrication, etc.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritiesSign-On BonusHealth Insurance401(k) and Employer ContributionPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife InsuranceEmployee Discount ProgramTuition ReimbursementVoluntary Life InsurancePlaskolite is a global leader in manufacturing of engineering thermoplastics, including Acrylic, Polycarbonate, ABS, Olefin and PETG Sheet, Extruded Profiles and PMMA Polymers.
