Finance Student Assistant

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Finance Student Assistant - Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Provide staff assistant services within the Facilities Management Business Office for various documents and invoices related to Construction Projects.
• Basic review and computation for Construction Project Pay Application invoices.
• Review and organize invoices for Owner Direct Purchase orders based on specific guideline requirements, before submittal to accounts payable.
• Assist with filing of construction accounting documents both electronically and hard copy as required.
• Participate in department meetings.
• Use office calendaring software to maintain up-to-date weekly schedule information.
• Performs other job-related duties as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

FAU degree-seeking graduate student with a minimum of five credit hours (or nine if international) and a minimum 3.0 GPA required, preferably with a Business Administration/Accounting/Finance degree program. Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new information and situations required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite programs required.

Salary: $15.50 per hour.

Location: Boca Raton

Work Days and Hours: Part time 20 hours a week. Hours vary between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday.
