Job Summary Sunbelt Rentals, the fastest growing rental business in North America, is seeking a Technician. The role performs preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on equipment to reduce downtime. The primary fleet includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and, depending on location, large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas equipment. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Conduct advanced diagnostics for mechanical and electrical issues. Make complex repairs to minimize equipment downtime. Maintain tools of the trade. Adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired. 5+ years of Technician experience with diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil & gas equipment) strongly preferred. Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting skills. Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills. Ability to be flexible with changing priorities. Physical Demands Requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as required. Compensation Base Pay Range: $22.85 – $31.41 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on factors including location, education, training, and experience.
