Quality Engineer
Location: (Prichard, WV)
Compensation: $70,000–$100,000

Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing quality, customer requirements, and continuous improvement within an automotive production environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Support APQP project teams for successful product launches
• Serve as the customer liaison for quality-related concerns
• Manage customer portals, scorecards, and improvement plans
• Create and maintain control plans, inspection instructions, capability studies, and gage R&R documentation
• Manage PPAP submissions
• Lead 8D corrective action plans
• Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met
• Apply AIAG core tools including APQP, FMEA, MSA, PPAP, and SPC
• Support supplier quality performance and corrective actions
• Maintain compliance with QMS, IATF 16949, and customer-specific requirements
• Participate in audits and support continuous improvement initiatives

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or 3+ years of relevant experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of quality standards and regulatory requirements
• Strong communication and writing abilities
• Microsoft Office and Outlook experience
• Ability to multitask and complete tasks within required timelines
• Strong attention to detail and team-focused mindset

Work Environment:

• Reports to the Quality Manager
• Works closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain
• Interfaces with customers and suppliers on quality concerns
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs regularly
