Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher and Case Manager. In this contract position beginning August 2026 and continuing through May 2027, you'll play an essential part in empowering K-5 learners, collaborating with educational teams, and managing a caseload of roughly 20 students. This role is ideal for dedicated educators ready to make a positive impact in a dynamic school environment.

Qualifications:

Hold a valid Virginia Special Education License
Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher or Case Manager highly valued
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
Effective communication and collaborative approach to working with colleagues and families

Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction in alignment with students’ IEPs
Manage all aspects of special education case management, including IEP development, implementation, and compliance
Conduct assessments, analyze results, and tailor teaching strategies for individual student needs
Maintain accurate documentation and communication related to student progress and services
Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Participate in IEP and eligibility meetings as needed
