PCA/Med Tech PositionWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PCA/Med Tech to join our healthcare team in providing exceptional patient and resident care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior and healthcare facility environments, with experience working with diverse populations including geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those requiring specialized dementia or Alzheimer's care. As a PCA/Med Tech, you will play a vital role in supporting residents' daily needs, administering medications, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.DutiesAssist residents with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assess residents' health status regularly.Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while maintaining detailed medical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems.Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral management strategies.Support residents during tube feeding, catheter care, and other medical procedures under the supervision of nursing staff.Maintain a safe environment through manual handling techniques and heavy lifting precautions to prevent injury to residents and staff.Document all patient interactions clearly and accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare requirements.Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and caregivers to ensure comprehensive patient care aligned with medical terminology and physiology knowledge.SkillsProven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments.Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) procedures such as CPR and first aid.Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems like Cerner or similar platforms for accurate documentation.Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting and manual handling safely while adhering to safety protocols.Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges, including dementia or memory care patients.Strong caregiving skills complemented by excellent communication abilities to engage effectively with residents and team members.Understanding of state Board of Nursing regulations, HIPAA compliance, and senior healthcare standards to ensure legal and ethical practice.Competence in medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and basic nursing procedures within a senior living or healthcare setting.Join our team to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents through compassionate caregiving combined with professional expertise!Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hourWork Location: In personSalary: $14 - $16 an hourEmployment Type: Full-time
