Software Developer / Application Support

Overview Software Developer / Application Support (Remote) Required Experience Minimum of 7 years in Java development and 3 years of fullstack experience. Experience in JAVA application development, web application, batch applications and support is required. Experience with oracle DB query development (including Hibernate in Spring Framework). Experience with test automation in unit tests, functional tests, regression tests and performance tests Experience with implementing in Playwright and CICD with Jenkins Experience with Version One and Agile development. Required Technical Skills Must be expert in Java, especially J2EE, and Spring Framework. Must be expert in Java, including J2EE, Spring framework, and Struts to maintain and expand current applications. Must be expert in web page development, including Struts, JavaScript, TypeScript, JSP, HTML, JQUERY, CSS, etc. Must be experienced with Kubernetes, micro-services, event-driven application with Kafka. Must have expertise in building RESTful API Applications with promises of high throughput, strong resilience, and secure controls Must have experience in writing functional tests with automation testing framework, like Playwright Knowledge of best practices in Version Controls. Required Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills, especially for collaborating on mainframe integration with Java developers and migration planning. Ability to work independently and in a team environment with a focus on quality and attention to detail. Additional Required Skills/Experience A minimum of Eight (8) years\' relevant experience. A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the individual\'s degree is not in the applicable field then four additional years of related experience is required. Typically performs all functional duties independently. Note: Special credentials (licenses and/or certifications) may be required at the Task Order level on a case-specific basis. Additional Provisions All candidates must be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card). Candidate must have lived in the US for the past 5 years. Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.) Hours of support: The standard work week for contract staff will be 5 days a week and 8 hours per day preferable Monday through Friday.
